Did she live alone or did you have another guinea pig? Guinea pigs are very social and need to live in pairs or groups. I don't know if it's the case with guinea pigs in particular, but in general loneliness in social rodents often displays as aggression and fearfulness and in extreme cases, depression, loss of appetite etc.
It is also likely that she had something wrong with her that caused her pain and loss of appetite. Pain can cause an otherwise friendly animal to bite. You could join The Guinea Pig Forum for more expert opinions but guinea pigs can have so many things wrong with them, it's probably impossible to pinpoint exactly what it was now.
