Re: My gerbils
Sushi 78,
My dwarf hamster died last week. He became a bit bitey as he matured, so I didn't handle him, but he was awake from time to time, running on his wheel - or falling asleep on it - and generally pottering about and looking adorable. Because of that, despite his assaultive proclivities, he was better company than my syrian, Bean, who's tolerant and nonviolent, but spends all his time in his hutch. He gets up when I go to bed, and goes to bed shortly after I get up.
I was hoping that gerbils would be more likely to notice when I got home from somewhere, and do their kangaroo pose in hopes of treats or toilet rolls. And that I could handle them without getting bitten.
It sounds like all of your gerbils are handleable. How about your hamster?
Thanks for being willing to share gerbil info.
