Thanks for the advice; I'll keep an eye on his weight, but he's been fine so far.
He likes seed sprays, so I'll see if he prefers millet like that; he wouldn't be the first obtuse hamster I've had lol It's reassuring to know that what he's leaving seems to be a fairly normal thing to be ignored. I guess I'm just used to hoover hams that hoover up everything and then still act like they're being starved :P
