You are so right. I feel sorry for anyone who says to me it's only a hamster why do you care cos they will never know what joy you get from them. Mine have all been loving little companions - the latest is the sweetest, most playful and cheerful little beastie and I would rather spend time with him than 90% of the people I know. It does make losing them so hard though. I always find rainbows comforting now - I hadn't heard of the rainbow bridge until I came on hamster central!
