I've never used it but had a quick look on the German Hamsterforum for reviews/feedback.

There was only one opinion about the Miscanthus stating that it is so slippery/smooth that it doesn't hold tunnels.

The Birch bedding (Birkenstreu) had better reviews with one member raving about it stating that it is virtually dustfree and others saying that it is good for people with allergies but that there are cheaper alternatives available. One says that it is similar to Chipsi and has some stabby bits in it. Mixed reviews which is often the case.
I'd try it and then form your own opinion about it.
