If it were just around the top it wouldn't be a huge issue other than potentially having the material wear down over time which then risks having some fall into the cage(unsafe obviously). The only exposed bit is the pole holding the budgie platform witch i am fixing. Apart from that maybe you are seing the transparency of the plexi?
