If he’s been in P@H that long it may take him some time to adjust to a new home & having a nice large cage so just be patient, if you could upload a photo of his cage set up we may be able to offer suggestions if there are any changes that may help.
Most hams will climb into something like a box, large mug or whatever you have that you can safely transport them in, pop a treat inside to tempt him if need be then You can put him in a carrier with some substrate while you clean.
I wouldn’t clean too much as. he’s still settling in, just spot cleaning pee at this stage should be enough & never do a full cage clean.
If he’s from P@H (or any pet shop) he will be a Russian hybrid btw, there are no pure winter white hams in pet shops.
