Also have done that! I just accidentally woke him up because I was quietly trying to fill the sand bath with fresh sand and I moved something out of the way and to my surprise he was sleeping behind that. I thought he was on the other side of the cage, burrowed in substrate, but instead he had made his home elsewhere. He just stared at me like "what'd you wake me up for..?"
