I think 5-7 sunflower seeds per day would be too much. 7 sunflower seeds contains half of a Syrian hamster's daily fat allowance, so on top of a balanced hamster mix, your hamsters would be getting 50% more fat than they need. I would limit them to 1-2 per day, depending on how much fat is in your hamster mix.
