You could get a £8.99 28cmTrixie wheel for a start and upgrade to a better one later. The Alaska is only £32 or so delivered. You can get a Ferplast guinea pig house for a tenner, a big bag of substrate from Amazon, you can make cardboard hides and toys, get a bowl and bottle and bendy bridge, Pringle crisps tubes make good tunnels for Syrians and some degus shelves from Amazon to hop on and off are handy and so are the 55cm long Trixie ladders. Look out for offers on Amazon because the prices vary.
Honestly I've spent more on hamsters than my self since I got my dwarf pair in october but they make me too happy lol. I just hate seeing all of the syrians stuck in tiny cages and I'd love to have one. I didn't realise the Alaska had a front opening door so thank you for clearing that up! I also have a price-tracking extension for amazon so I'm always keeping an eye on the things I want to get lol. I'm going to order Fitch sometime this week, so if I get on well with that I'll probably order the big 10kg bag and that should be enough bedding to start with.

I'm probably going to save for a good wheel like a carolina storm or something because wheels were a massive pain in the beginning so I'd rather get one that lasts even if It costs more. Thank you for the help though!!
