My Syrian happily lives in the Alaska cage from Zooplus. It's a great cage with a large front opening door and a top door. I think your £70 festival refund could cover a set up but it depends on how much you want to spend on a big wheel. You could get a £8.99 28cmTrixie wheel for a start and upgrade to a better one later. The Alaska is only £32 or so delivered. You can get a Ferplast guinea pig house for a tenner, a big bag of substrate from Amazon, you can make cardboard hides and toys, get a bowl and bottle and bendy bridge, Pringle crisps tubes make good tunnels for Syrians and some degus shelves from Amazon to hop on and off are handy and so are the 55cm long Trixie ladders. Look out for offers on Amazon because the prices vary.
