What the others say
I was concerned about the lichens etc at first but our hamsters just ignore them and haven't tried to eat them or scratch them off. Are they solid or hollow? If hollow they are probably too narrow for a syrian and the larger cork logs would be better. If solid they should be fine and add some enrichment.
