Hello!
So my syrian is 1 year and 9 months old and he has always been a really calm hamster. I let him out of his cage about an hour after he wakes up every single night and I've let him free roam a few times aswell.
However, lately its been pretty difficult to not notice that he's been climbing to the the very top of his cage then biting and shaking the bars aggressively. He has never done this before and he's been doing it constantly every night for the past week now so I'm getting a bit worried. His cage is a good size and has two sections to it. The bottom section is a large bin cage which have got plenty of toys and wooden chews inside and then the top half is a wire cage which has his large wheel in that is made for large rodents. He goes on this all the time and he absolutely loves it but lately he has been going crazy biting the bars and I am worried as this is really unusual.
If anyone could help me out that would be great. Thanks guys!!
