Why do you want to breed? Have you thoroughly researched breeding and talked with an experienced hamster breeder about it? Do you have a plan for where the babies would go?

How old are the hamsters? If you’ve only just got them, they could be too young for breeding which would endanger the mum.

Are these hamsters from a pet shop or have you sourced them from a reputable breeder? If they are from a pet shop it’s not a good idea to breed them. Pet shop hamsters could be carrying genetic conditions.

Are you sure they are not siblings? If they are siblings you shouldn’t breed them.

Are the hamsters living together? You have to be careful that they don’t fight as one may end up killing the other.

ETA: I see you are new to hamsters, in which case it is definitely not a good idea to start by breeding!
