As far as behaviour and activity level goes, hamsters are much like people. I've got one little ham who basically sleeps 23hrs a day and she has done ever since she was young while my other one is completely hyperactive.
As long as he is eating and drinking he's probably ok.

Thank you for the reply Vierville, really useful to know about the sleep! I've yet to weigh him but will keep an eye on that too. He is drinking, just added in some vitamin drops too. He is eating but also hoarding a huge amount, doesn't appreciate me chucking that out :P
