It sounds like he's just fine. I'd consider taking him to an exotic animal vet for a general checkup and mention the blood on his genitals (exotic animal vets are the ones who deal with hamsters as opposed to regular vets who mostly see cats and dogs). But it sounds like he's just fine.

As far as behaviour and activity level goes, hamsters are much like people. I've got one little ham who basically sleeps 23hrs a day and she has done ever since she was young while my other one is completely hyperactive.

As long as he is eating and drinking he's probably ok.
