Not a stupid question, I go by how their fur looks and the shape of them. I only really know about syrians, and there faces go a bit more gaunt, skinny when older, or at least mine have. Also the fur goes thinner, can look a bit more scruffy and just not as glossy/healthy as when they were younger.Not sure how you would go about calculating the exact months.
