Default Re: Keeping hamsters warm in winter

I had it in a small, well insulated room, on a timer last winter - to come on for a few hours in the middle of the night in between the heating going off at night and coming on in the morning. Our hammies are now in a large room and I need to leave it on most of the night to make any difference on a cold night. So will be using the larger heater on a timer instead . So room size does make a difference.
