A cage change will stress her out. So I'd leave that for now.
What did the vet say? What's the size of the cage?
For the cage chewing I've always used pieces of cardboard and I weaved it through the bars of where the chewing takes place, toilet and kitchen rolls are good. She will start pulling and chewing it and because its been weaved through the bars it'll take time to pull out. I've always found that they get fed up and stop.
