Hi. Hard to tell but he appears to have fur loss on his back legs as well. I think you should see an exotic vet (google exotic vets in your area - there should be one not far away). They know a lot more about hamsters - a lot of vets don’t know that much about hamster conditions. Did the vet do a skin scraping to test for mites before treating?

They can get fur kids for all kinds of reasons. Our Robo started losing fur when he had cancer but his skin was not smooth like that but very lumpy like nodules. Diet can cause fur loss if they haven’t had enough protein in their mix and various other illness can cause it plus it can be normal in old age and older robos can look quite ropey and raggy. How old is he?
