Your hamster looks lovely, healthy and lively. He's very lucky to be living with someone as understanding and caring as you.

A while ago i asked about mineral blocks here and was advised against getting one so didn't.

Hamsters can also nibble on a piece of dry pasta or give him a nut in a shell like a peanut, hazelnut or walnut. A wooden chew stck is also good for the teeth. If you can't find one in the shops and you have access to a fruit or hazelnut tree that hasn't been sprayed with chemicals just break some off, wash it and bake in the oven for around an hour at 100C to kill off bugs.

I live in the UK and the tiny cages on sale in the pet shops give me cage rage. I'd love to smash them all up! Seems to be a worlwide thing that hamsters are totally under appreciated as pets. At least we treat them they way they deserve to be treated.
