I got our lovely rescue hamster from a place near Chester. It's a bit of a trek but they have a lot of hammies needing homes. It is difficult to find a breeder who is breeding and has hamsters available, especially in the North. However if you go along to one of the Hamster shows there may be a breeder with Hamsters they have bred that need rehoming - it's best to check before going if there are any for sale. The Northern Hamster club will list all the shows that are upcoming although that also may mean travelling a fair way.

This is the rescue where our Syrian,Moo, came from. The adoption list may not be up to date but they have a facebook page as well.
