Pickle had some playpen time tonight. He does his "ostrich" thing in the cage when I get him out - sticks his head under the substrate thinking you can't see him
He explored a bit in the playpen. He hasn't quite got the hang of the wheel yet ha ha. Still a bit cautious. He runs quite slowly so the wheel swings backwards and forwards - he hasn't quite got the wheel running all the way round. I'm sure that will come soon as he gains in confidence and runs a bit faster.
He skidded about a bit on the saucer as well. But enjoyed discovering the donut bed
. It's interesting that he is a slightly different personality to Newt at the same age. Newt was always highly active. Pickle seems slightly more cautious but he enjoyed his time out. Both Moo and Pickle have got Mr Woodfield pine cone trees covered in chewable treats (oats etc) and neither of them has touched it! Newt demolished his overnight! But Newt was a little hoover.
Pickle is lovely - a bit shy still but seems to be enjoying his cage at night. Hoping now he's been in the wheel in the playpen he will want to keep coming out to go on it again. Here he is.
