Neither of our Syrians have been morning/breakfast Hamsters but I know some people give them a bit of breakfast because they're awake

Not sure what time you go to bed but I've generally found they start getting active after 10pm or 11pm. Although sometimes if they're feeling antisocial they will wait till you've turned the lights out.

The wheel looks like a great find!
I'm an owl but may have to change to a part time larch now.

Henry is a breakfast hamster meaning that he wants some of our breakfast.
He'll come out of his house or his nose at least, soon as he gets a whiff of porridge or boiled egg.
The other morning he came out sniffing and looking around when he heard my OH's voice.
Yes, Henry can be sociable when there's something edible in it for him.
