Hello!
Introducing my fur baby... Willow
Willow came to live with us nearly a year ago now, at 5 months old. She is still tiny though.
NAME: Willow
AGE: 1 1/2 years old
FAV HEALTHY TREAT: Broccoli
FAV TREAT: Any apple flavored treats and her Wimsey chew.
PERSONALITY & PLAYTIME: So energetic and loves to run and climb. She is the sweetest thing, so gentle, but a bit scared of her own shadow. It did take a long time to get her comfortable with being handled but now enjoys running up and down my arm and free roam on the sofa or bed. I know a lot of people do not like to used balls, but she absolutely loves running around the flat in her ball, I just keep a close eye on her for the short time she is in there.
Willow loves to store most of her food in her coconut hide and enjoys bathing in her sand bath.
A cute thing she does;
I sometimes scatter food around her cage as i hear its good to encourage natural foraging, she gives me this look as to say 'why you making a mess mum' then picks it all up and pops it all in her food bowl. Makes me laugh.
HOME:
Before bringing Willow home (she was a re-home hammy) I did a lot of research and we decided to build Willow a lovely large DIY cage (850sq inches) using the normal Ikea furniture that you see so many tutorials for. Currently sorting and pricing up an upgraded cage for her which should be about 1100sq inches of space. I am just excited to give her more room and include a lot more fun things for her in her home.
Anyway, will stop going on, as you can tell I totally adore her
