I’m not sure if anyone will see this but I can’t seem to find how to make new posts; since the smelly poop days I went to a veterinarian two hours away and he prescribed Baytril and to start Wembley on some oxbow healthy handfuls (he called it block chow although that’s all I can find by searching that), I know they aren’t terribly nutritious on their own but I add some to his Sunburst and haven’t fed veggies for months.
He didn’t give enough baytril for the ten day twice a day dosage, more like seven days but his poop stopped having a smell for that period. Now, weeks later his poos are usually good size but have a super sour smell again. I’m wondering if it’s just cause he’s getting older? Could it even be from lack of non watery veggies? It’s been a couple months since baytril stopped so I’m not sure. He plays often, drinks lots, and eats normally so I’m just confused.
