The other popular bedding you can buy in bulk is Hugro hemp from Zooplus. I was allergic to that so stick with the Fitch - which is hypoallergenic and made from recycled food grade paper. Great stuff.

Bear in mind also that hammies can be allergic to any type of wood bedding, even hardwoods which are the safest ones to use - I find most wood beddings are too dusty anyway.


I normally use the wood based bedding from Wilko for £2 it lasts me about 1 sometimes 2 months. I will definitely have a look at the Fitch and see what I think to it, Thankyou!
