I use Fitch - like Carefresh but better as no dust

A 10kg bag costs £22 but lasts me about 6 months. Hammies love it as they can pile it up or use bits of it in their nest, as well as the ripped up toilet paper. Only available online but price includes delivery. It works out even cheaper if you get the 20kg bag but that is really big! I get the 10kg bag as it's not too big to store in the house - about the size of a child's beanbag chair. In fact I used to keep mine in the corner of a room with a throw over it so it looked like beanbag.

The other popular bedding you can buy in bulk is Hugro hemp from Zooplus. I was allergic to that so stick with the Fitch - which is hypoallergenic and made from recycled food grade paper. Great stuff.

Bear in mind also that hammies can be allergic to any type of wood bedding, even hardwoods which are the safest ones to use - I find most wood beddings are too dusty anyway.
