Question New cage, but some new issues.

Lately I have been feeling a little guilty cause Charlie’s bin cage was a few inches too small. Today when I was at Target I saw that 90qt plastic bins were 10 dollars, so I bought it. I finished drilling holes in the lid and transferred all of Charlie’s things. (I forgot to mention. He is a Syrian.)

Later on tonight I made a popsicle stick picnic table for his new home. I am pretty pleased with it . I knew he would chew on it, and I don’t mind. But when he chews on it, he gets little pieces of wood, chews them up, and eats them (I think). Maybe he will realize it isn’t food or maybe I just need to take it out. Maybe I’m just paranoid

Additionally, this is probably nothing, but Charlie has been digging in a corner of his new cage. At least, trying to dig. He keeps going back and trying to dig, but his paws just slip on the plastic floor. It’s quite funny, but I am a little worried something is troubling him. Maybe it’s just his bad eyesight. I’m just making sure
