Annoying the top door has broken. They might just send you another cage. He will be a bit skitty and stressed the first few days (even if happy and excited) which might explain the bar climbing. It's all new and strange. Just give him a nice big pile of torn up strips of plain white toilet paper and he'll build himself a cosy nest.
Best not to clean anything for a couple of weeks now - while he settles and scent marks everything. Just spot clean the pee area.
