If you're going to go with the detolf you'll need to look into how to build a raised lid. I had to move my girl into a Linnmon because she was chewing the flat mesh lid of the detolf incessantly. And it is narrow and not very deep.

I actually am having the same problem now with the male syrian I have in the detolf and am looking into a raised lid myself. I think it would be great cage for dwarfs but syrians, I'm coming to the realisation that it's got too many problems for me to really recommend it anymore.

I'd go Linnmon (or other IKEA hack), Eco Green, Detolf in order of preference.
