Re: How to cope with loss of a much loved hamster
Dear Trev my heart goes out to you. I am always devastated whenever one of our pets die. Hams are only little but are so full of personality that they leave such a big whole. They all have their own quirky ways. My darling Boris died in my hands in August last year. My experience is that you have to give yourself time to grieve. It’s ok to be upset. It was good that you were there for Bobbi at the end. She wasn’t alone and you should take comfort from that. It took me until March this year to feel I could get another ham and now we have little Boo who is the funniest thing and is a joy. I still miss Boris every day but I remember the good times and his special little ways. Take it one day at a time and it will start to feel better. X
