My hamster would hate that. He is at his most active when all lights are off and we've gone to bed. Dark, quiet and his own company, that's what he likes best but he's not exactly the most sociable of hamsters, lol.

The lamp is above the cage because we don’t have much space and that lamp serves to light up our living room corner. It will be turned off late evening and during the night.
