I got my Male hamster around 5 weeks ago, and my prohress with him seems very up and down.
As time passes he seems to become more skittish and will only venture out if I talk to him when he pokes hid head out. Otherwise he runs back to his nest until me and my partner leave the room. When I first got him he was happy to roam around.
I also started on bathtub bonding, having only done 3 sessions over a week so far and he will sniff and climb my legs before deciding he's had enough and hiding in the house I take in there or attempting to climb the sides. He also wont take food or treats when in the tub as he's too preoccupied sniffing about.
Im wondering what else I can do and if anyone else has some further advicr for me on how I can make him more comfortable. This is my first ever hamster so any advice will be a huge help. Thanks in advance
