Default Question about "bug bombs"

We've been having some issues with spiders, ticks, and other bugs in my house, so my mom bought this "bug bomb" thing which is a fogger can that spreads a chemical throughout the house, which kills any bugs in the house and any eggs/baby bugs.
I had already planned on removing my gerbils and Pip while the house is being "bombed" (approx. 2 hrs) but I had a question... I'm a little concerned about their cages after the chemical has spread. Does anyone have any experience with using these, and whether or not I ought to completely replace the bedding/substrate after this process is over? I do keep my hamster/gerbil bedding in a separate airtight container in the garage so there's no way it could be affected.
Thanks in advance for advice
