I've got some who really do seem to like human interaction and others are less keen.

The ones that enjoy interaction will often seek it by climbing on the front of their cages and Juno, my oldest will wait in the spot where I'll always pick her up from if she wants to come out for cuddles and then she'll often cling to your fingers so it's difficult to put her down until she's ready. Jack on the other hand will go and snuggle up in my jumper and take a little nap. He's usually quite comfy there.

Cora, another one of my older girls is not keen on handling and she wriggles and squirms until you put her down... the only time she wanted to be picked up actually was when she was pregnant. I do still pick her up every so often though because I find that it's the easiest way to give them a healthcheck.
