"Like" is a strong word.. Maybe tolerates is a better word for my hamster when it comes to cuddles
I've had my hamster for exactly 4 months now.
He usually lets me pet him if he's distracted, like taking a drink or eating a treat, but he doesn't usually sit still for it otherwise.
If I'm walking around with him he seems to like watching the surroundings, or maybe smelling the smells, and he'll walk slowly from hand to hand or even sit still in my hands for a cuddle.
He rarely gets onto my hands from inside his cage, I usually have to get him out with a cup. But from a playpen or the bathtub he'll usually run all over me, and he often runs right to my hands when I get out because he seems to realize I'm the elevator and transportation vehicle. Mind you, climbing easily onto my hands only occurred after a lot of training sessions. Like daily for weeks, and only from the playpen, almost never from the cage.
