Hi guys,
I just need a trained eye to confirm what I suspect, if you please.
I adopted two winter whites March 17th.
They are now separated(as of yesterday) because I'm almost 100% certain I have a male and a female. Both of them bring toilet paper shreddings into their bed, so I can't really tell if this is a "maternity nest". I'd love to be able to tell if the female is pregnant, but there have been no obvious signs to me(based on what I've read so far, that seems to just be natural behavior).
My initial hesitation on the gender was because the one that I NOW suspect is female is just SO BIG compared to the male. I now know that that doesn't really determine gender. But still!
Naturally, I am not up all night but when they were together there has been no humping or obvious signs of ham love
-- fingers crossed anyway. These are my first hammy pets and i'd be so grateful to not have another ..8. If there is a way to tell she is pregnant now, I'm all ears

Ham 1 is Walter, Male.
Ham 2 once Rupert, now Ruby-Sue is female.
Yes no?
Many thanks in advance,
Melissa
