So this afternoon I put the food out a bit earlier than usual and moved Nugget's sand bath and food bowl off the shelf down to floor level. He popped out and had a good check of what I was doing to see if he approved. I don't want to change too much all at once so will leave the shelf and ramp for now but he has no need to go up there now.

He clearly did approve as he promptly jumped in his sand bath for a roll and then hopped into his food bowl. I've pushed them into the substrate a bit so there is no hard lip to get over for his painful tummy.
