I love harvies, and was a long time without any despite searching. On the way back from January's show in Doncaster I stopped off and collected a pair. Heather and Bracken are my first mixed sex pair of harvies.
It's fun to decorate a viv for a species that keeps its enrichment tidy. Recently I've had duprasi in the vivs and they just looked like a cardboard recycling centre!
I was warned a pair was unlikely to have pups as they mate competitively, but Heather and Bracken obviously haven't been on Google
They had a litter of 6 adorable pups 3 weeks ago and Heather has another litter in the nest.
When the new pups are old enough, I'll split the boys and girls into separate vivs. Therefore I've been shopping for new viv decor. There's still more to arrive for the garden viv, but it's taking shape nicely.
