Some people bury them in a large plant pot and plant flowers in it, if you don't have a garden. If he is still at home with you, then best to use a little cardboard box of some kind with tissue paper in and wrap him in tissue and put him in the box as a nice little resting place - he should be fine for another day like that. But speak to your Dad tonight and see if you can organise a little burial spot tomorrow.

I buried our last Syrian about this time of year 2 years ago and it was thick snow outside. I couldn't do it the same day, but by the next day we had adjusted to the idea that he had already gone, and we were just burying his body and made it special and planted flowers over it, even in the cold - we cleared the snow. Then the live on in the flowers and have returned to nature. As he had already gone to the rainbow bridge. So you may feel ready to do it by tomorrow. If a burial doesn't feel right you can ring a local vet or pet cremation service and take him there tomorrow xxx
