Front access is really not essential, some people prefer it others don’t. I wouldn’t pick a smaller cage with front access over a larger one with top access if that’s what the choice came down to. I do think you’d be better with a 120cm tank, 100cm is still quite limited for a Syrian because you cannot make use of the height like you would in a similar sized barred cage. That one is also narrow and doesn’t allow for deep bedding which is something to think about.
