Thanks for your reply! She's luckily easy to hold, not sure why she doesn't protest that part of it - though she does try to turn her head away sometimes. Once we leave her be, she does eventually calm down and she seems fine otherwise! I think it's also odd for me because she's usually such a quiet hamster, but then, we've also never had to give her medication before.
