And that's why children shouldn't be left unsupervised with hamsters! I am sure that was bad parenting, but boys can think it is funny. Even my stepson, who wouldn't harm a hair on our hamster's head, makes boy jokes about what he would do with the hamster! He says that about humans too so it's boy humour - but when it goes actually into doing cruel things. Children need to be taught about not being cruel to animals and that they are not toys or disposable.

Glad Poppy has found a home with you and hopefully she will learn to trust you with some patience. Hope she bit those boys!
