Rescues tend to become some of the sweetest pets in the world.
My sister has 2 rescue labradors who are very interested in the hamsters but will not harm them. They even boop noses with their younger hamster Leia.
I've also found a way to interact with Poppy without scaring her. She loves peanut butter so I put a small pit om the blunt side of a bamboo skewer then hold it out for her to eat. I did this last night and she quite enjoyed the treat.
Pepper, my other hammy, seems to be interested in Poppy as she will stand in the corner that's closer to Poppy's cage and keep smelling, but she loses interest quite quickly and ends up going back to digging in her substrate and rolling in her sand
