Hello all,

For about a month now I've been taking care of an extra hammy. My sister wasn't bonding with him (I'm not sure why she wasn't; he's amazing!), so I had the privilege of taking over. I wasn't really sure if he was technically "mine," but after I figured out that I could balance raising two hamster friends, I claimed him to be my own. You can't have him back sis!

I know that being a beginner hamster-er I was taking a kind of risk by nurturing two hammies at the same time, but I wasn't going to let poor Jeffrey be neglected or homeless. He's too cute for that.

Anyway, Jeffrey is a chubby white roborovski bean whose love language is mainly food. We bonded pretty easily because of our shared interests. He is really, and I mean really, comfortable with being handled which makes sense because he is an old little guy who has had two previous owners. He is also occasionally grumpy and groggy when he wakes up. This only increases his adorableness. Sunflower seeds are his all-time favorite, and he thinks sand baths make wonderful toilets.

(Lori is also doing well and wishes you all to know that she is currently building her most elaborate nest yet. She's a bit sassy. I think she's reached the equivalent of human teenhood.)

Sorry I haven't posted or asked questions in a while. I've been busy w/ these two, and if I ever had a question, I would look through older forums. Not sure if I have time currently for pictures, but I would like to upload them soon.
