Default Re: pinkneon's photography!

Hey all! Unfortunately I didn't get any photos during Pride back in August! I was there super early to help decorate the bus and then when we finally took off at 11am it was already 30 degrees! It just got hotter and hotter, and I spent most of the journey drinking water! I did, however, feel like I knew how the Queen feels having to wave to complete strangers!
However, Thursday was my birthday! I can't believe I am now officially a proper adult (as supposed to a young adult!) as I now am 30!!!!!! For my birthday my friend and I went to the Warner Bros Studios - where they made the Harry Potter movies! It was an incredible experience, and this time of year it's all Christmassy, so even more magical. I took over 270 photos, so obvious reasons can't share them all with you! Plus, I don't want to spoil too much for anyone who hasn't been but is planning to go (I highly recommend it!) I went all dressed up, in my Hufflepuff robes, and took my wand with me. My friend made me wear some stupid birthday badges, and then I was given an extra one when I got there! The staff were so friendly, but I found it embarrassing having people say Happy Birthday all day!

So, the tour starts in the Great Hall. The lady told us that the food used to be real, until it started smelling bad under the studio lights so they made it all out of resin. The "ice" sculpture in the middle was built using the Brighton Pavilion as inspiration - which I recognized immediately! As it was my birthday, I got to open the doors to the Great Hall, which was both fun and embarrassing! This picture only shows part of the Great Hall, which is one of the largest sets they have. I'm not sure what would be there when it's not Christmas time, but I do intend to go back at another time of year to find out!

Here I am on Platform 9 3/4, but I think my oowl escaped!

"I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good"

Summoning the Knight Bus by putting out my wand arm!

And finally, at the very end is a huge sculpture of Hogwarts. It's there all year round, but at this time of year it's covered in fake snow, making it truly magical. I'm not too sure baout the lighting in there though!

It was truly a magical day, and I hope to go back again soon!!
