I took my hammies up to Scotland from Birmingham a few years ago! I'd say a cat carrier is a bit big tbh..I have my 6 rats in a cat carrier! I'd get a guinea pig size one, lots of bedding to bury and apples and cucumber fine. If you do a stop off at a service station, i'd offer a water bottle but keeping a smaller space will seem more secure and she should soon settle down to the sound of the engine x
