If there’s any swelling, redness, it feels excessively warm, or it just doesn’t clear up after a few days, then take him to the vets in case he needs antibiotics or for the vet to unblock it.

You can make saline by mixing 1/2 a teaspoon salt in a cup of boiled water and leave it to cool before applying.
