Not a Syrian but I upgraded my robo from a Mary to a Barney last year. It doesn't sound that much bigger just looking at dimensions but it is a significant upgrade! The added height is great for a Syrian too, as is the deeper base. Just set it up with shelves and hanging items to break any falls. I suppose the main con for me was that the doors are a bit worse than the Mary's - front doors are smaller and not as sturdy imo, although you do get two of them. The Mary is a lovely cage just wish it was bigger - I think you'll like the Barney anyway.
